Sample Text (you will be able to edit it in step 2):

Denver Police Department and Democratic National Convention:

Stop Violence against Protesters

Dissent is not a crime!

Drop all charges against arrestees

Police OUT of Civic Center Park

Hands Off the IVAW March today!

Supporters of justice demand that the Denver Police Department cease its violent attacks on those who are protesting during the Democratic National Convention.

Over the past several days Denver police, in what is clearly an attempt to silence dissent and intimidate progressive activists, have engaged in deliberate and unprovoked attacks on people assembled in Civic Center Park and elsewhere in the City.

The Recreate 68 Alliance has a legal permit for activities in Civic Center Park and has organized a week of non-violent political events. Throughout the city, activists have gathered to express dissent and have been met with provocations, intimidation, and brutal attacks. The only illegal acts of violence in Denver are those being committed by Denver cops, against people who disagree with the policies of the U.S. government.

It is shocking, with tomorrow being the 40th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s historic ‘I Have a Dream’ speech, that the Democratic Party and the Denver police are engaging in acts of violence against non-violent protesters. The true spirit of Dr. King is one of dissent and of speaking out against war, injustice and racism, and that is what the protesters in Denver are doing. They should not be criminalized by the city of Denver and the DNC.

Today, Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) will march to the Pepsi Center, followed by thousands of supporters - they have a right to march, and we stand in solidarity with them and demand "Denver Police - hands off the Veterans March!"

We demand that the police and the Democratic Party stop attacks on protesters. We demand that all of the false charges against arrestees be dropped. We demand that Denver police end their violent occupation of Civic Center Park.

Sincerely,
